Get to know Chris
Tell us about your job position and some of your typical work tasks.
As associate creative director for Visit Myrtle Beach, I will be in charge of creating and coordinating marketing creative with our many agency partners, as well as working on a variety of in-house content and design initiatives and helping oversee the Visit Myrtle Beach brand as it applies to marketing our destination.

I enjoy a good IPA or craft beer. But also TRY to drink as much water as possible.
How do you give back to the community?
I have volunteered for many years coaching youth sports and am currently involved as an organizer with Grand Strand Youth Hockey, an inline hockey league located at The Market Common. I also am very active planning events and social activities in my neighborhood, The Parks in Carolina Forest.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Myrtle Beach?
I love live music and used to run my own local music publication. Some of my favorite places to catch a band include The Boathouse, Hot Fish Club, Dead Dog Saloon & Local on The Water.
Best advice you ever received?
Nothing is impossible. It's just a matter of how much time and resources you want to put towards getting it done.
Tell us about your family/pets.
I've been married to my wife, Heidi, since 2005 and we have two boys, Miles and Mason. We have an Austrailian Shepherd named Mya and a big fat black and white cat named Macaroni.
Favorite Book
I’m more of an audiobook and podcast listener than a reader. But, I love fantasy series like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and The Dark Tower.

Columbus Blue Jackets, Ohio State Buckeyes
Anything else people should know about you?
I love sports and fitness (...even though I'm not in great shape). I am an avid hockey player and have run many marathons and half marathons including the Myrtle Beach Marathon several times.
