Connecting Civic Leaders & Businesses

Legislative Events

Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to offer events connecting you with lawmakers helping you stay informed about policy issues impacting your business and community.

Every year, we travel to Columbia to meet with members of the S.C. General Assembly to show appreciation to the state senators and representatives for the time they spend working on the many issues impacting Grand Strand businesses.

Don’t miss your chance to talk about issues important to our area and help educate the legislators about the significant impact the Grand Strand has on the state’s economy.

Complimentary bus transportation is available from the chamber’s Oak Street office.

Advocacy In Action

Advocacy in Action is a bi-monthly breakfast series connecting members of the Greater Myrtle Beach Collaborative with elected officials, policy leaders and experts on the issues shaping our business community.

Each session will highlight timely policy topics, legislative updates and advocacy efforts that impact local businesses and the Grand Strand economy, giving members a clearer understanding of how decisions made at every level of government affect their ability to grow, invest and succeed.

Attend the inagural event!

Join us for the first installment of Advocacy in Action, a monthly breakfast series connecting business members with the people and policies shaping our region’s future. On Aug. 7, Rep. Carla Schuessler will discuss H. 3021, the Small Business Regulatory Freedom Act, and how reducing unnecessary government red tape can help create a stronger, more competitive business climate in South Carolina.
