Bojangles welcomes Myrtle Beach area residents to help celebrate veterans on June 5 as they welcome PepsiCo’s Rolling Remembrance to its North Kings Highway location.
The event is open the public and aims to honor American veterans while raising awareness and funds for the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, which provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
Rolling Remembrance is a 14,000-mile truck relay that carries an American flag flown in combat across the country – from Seattle to New York. Its Myrtle Beach stop will include a ceremonial welcome, live performances, and a heartfelt moment of recognition for local veteran Larry Dowd, who will be presented with the Living Bo Legend Award for his service and 15 years of dedicated patronage to the Bo Flavor Bojangles brand.
The event will be kicked off by Lieutenant Colonel James “JD” Davis, author of Command and Chivalry, whose address will set the tone for a moving tribute to service and sacrifice. The Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard will present the colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, and a live rendition of “God Bless America” performed by Maddie Rean, a rising country artist known for her performances at the Field and Stream Music Festival.
Attendees will enjoy:
- Free patriotic Bo-Berry Biscuits
- Giveaways and Bo Flavor Prize Wheel spins
- A chance to win Carolina Country Music Fest (CCMF) tickets
Additionally, veterans, police officers, and first responders with valid ID are invited to enjoy a free combo meal at any of the 12 Bo Flavor Bojangles locations on June 5, 2025 as a token of appreciation.
“We are honored to be a stop on this powerful national journey,” said Mark Kiskunas, owner of Bo Flavor Bojangles. “This ceremony is a way for us to show gratitude—to both those who have served and the families left behind. We’re proud to support the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation and to celebrate local heroes like Larry Dowd who continue to inspire us.”
