Shannon Furtick

Shannon Furtick, serves as executive director of Leadership Grand Strand.

Furtick started her career with the chamber in 2008 and is the business development director of member engagement.

Among Furtick’s notable achievements, she graduated from LGS’s Class 31 in 2011, completed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM) in 2016, was recognized by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives’ 40 Under 40 in 2020, and received Multiplying Good’s Jefferson Award in 2022.

Leadership Trainer

Hop2it Consulting

Daniel Hoppe and Heather Hoppe of Hop2it Consulting will serve as the leadership trainer for Leadership Grand Strand beginning with Class XLV for the 2024-2025 program year.

Hop2it Consulting is a small professional consulting firm owned by the Hoppes that provides professional consulting services to companies, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations

Daniel Hoppe

Daniel Hoppe, Ed.D, has spent the last 24 years dedicated to education, business and nonprofit management, focusing his efforts on professional development, leadership training, strategic planning, change management, online education, marketing and fundraising.

He currently serves as executive director of Multiplying Good, Southeast and is a senior consultant and president of Hop2it Consulting. Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in education from The University of Toledo, a master’s in organizational management and strategic planning from Spring Arbor University and a Doctor of Education from Bowling Green State University.

He is a graduate of both the South Carolina Technical College Leadership Academy and Leadership Grand Strand Class XXXIX. Dan served on the LGS Board of Regents for four years and completed several certified courses through the Disney Institute focused on leadership development.

In his free time, Dan enjoys home improvement projects, grilling and spending time with his family.

Heather Hoppe

Heather Hoppe, Ph.D., has spent over 25 years in higher education passionately assisting students toward meeting their academic and career goals.

She is the assistant vice president for enrollment services/registrar at Horry-Georgetown Technical College.

Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s in education from The University of Toledo and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University.

Heather is a graduate of both the South Carolina Technical College Leadership Academy and Leadership Grand Strand Class XLIII. She has received numerous awards for her conference presentations and was most recently honored as an Outstanding Presenter for 2023 by the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO).

In her free time, Heather enjoys reading, running and spending time with her family.

Together, Daniel and Heather have three children and two dogs.
