Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors work to engage new investors by extending the hand of friendship. Our devoted volunteers welcome new local businesses through ribbon-cuttings, greet individuals at networking events and visit investors to make sure they are getting the most out of their chamber investment.

Tell us about your business and the role you play in it.

Grand Anchor Insurance is a Life and Health Insurance agency that specializes in Medicare, individual health insurance, employee benefits, and certain types of life insurance. I currently serve as the Co-Owner along with my wife Mary. My primary duties are to network and attain new clients as well as run appointments to educate prospective clients on what their options are when it comes to their personal life and health insurance.

What do you love about being a chamber ambassador?

I love being able to assist others in maximizing their value for their chamber membership. I also enjoy the amazing networking opportunities that it allows me to have and the additional exposure to community events that many Myrtle Beach professionals may not be aware of.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Myrtle Beach?

I really enjoy taking my kids to places like Big Air and The Boardwalk. I also like to play pool at many locally owned bars in town.

Anything else you want to share about your business?

I love that I truly get to help people every day because health insurance can really be confusing and most people are usually overpaying by quite a bit. It’s a great feeling knowing that I make a living by getting to save people money and also provide them peace of mind.
