Small business owners, entrepreneurs and hospitality professionals from across the region gathered at Horry-Georgetown Technical College for the South Carolina Small Business Hospitality and Tourism Summit, a day focused on the tools, resources and partnerships that help businesses grow and succeed.
The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to sponsor the event held June 22, bringing together tourism and hospitality leaders, economic development partners and resource providers committed to supporting South Carolina’s small business community.
Attendees heard from state, federal and local partners on topics including access to capital, federal contracting, rural development, tax changes, financial confidence, workforce development, technology resources and legal risks facing local businesses.
Small businesses are the backbone of South Carolina’s economy and play a vital role in the continued success of the Grand Strand. Events like the summit help connect business owners with the resources, expertise and relationships needed to grow, adapt and remain competitive.
Supporting opportunities that strengthen local businesses and foster economic growth remains a key priority for the Chamber. By connecting entrepreneurs and employers with valuable tools and information, the chamber helps create a stronger business climate and a more resilient regional economy.
The chamber appreciates the South Carolina Small Business Development Center, Horry-Georgetown Technical College and the many partners who helped make this event possible.
