Representing the interests of business on a local, state and federal level
Standing Up for Business
As part of its mission, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to helping influence legislation and public policy to benefit our community and your business. MBACC members are encouraged to participate in the member-driven Advocacy Council, which is comprised of MBACC members engaged in the public policy arena.
Each year, the council unveils its community priorities, which are based on survey results of members’ concerns and issues for the upcoming legislative session.

Grand Strand Legislative Reception
Every year, we travel to Columbia to meet with members of the S.C. General Assembly to show appreciation to the state senators and representatives for the time they spend working on the many issues impacting Grand Strand businesses. Don’t miss your chance to talk about issues important to our area and help educate the legislators about the significant impact the Grand Strand has on the state’s economy.
This event is held annually in February. Complimentary bus transportation is available.
