The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce commends Myrtle Beach City Council’s unanimous approval of the Downtown Municipal Improvement District and the continued work of our partners at the Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance. Downtowns matter. They are anchors in our communities as a place for residents and visitors to gather and enjoy amusement, art, culture, music, food, fellowship and so much more.
The greater Myrtle Beach region has thriving downtowns: Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, Loris, Main Street in Aynor, the Pier Village in Surfside Beach, the waterfront in Little River and of course, historic downtown Conway. Downtown Myrtle Beach is an important part of the region’s overall success. The work taking place there includes business support, hospitality efforts, programming, beautification and the Gold Cap Ambassadors. Together, these efforts help provide a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, businesses and employees.
The Chamber commends Myrtle Beach City Council for unanimously supporting the vision for a flourishing downtown Myrtle Beach and the business community stands ready to do its part to support downtowns throughout the region.
